Yes, Al, following my maze and mitral valve repair I had a dizzy spell which sounds just like yours. It lasted a very short time and the room was spinning. It was very disconcerting. This was the only such episode and it never reoccured. I hope the same for you. These are still early days; it takes about 3 months for the heart to settle down completely so your flutters will diminish over time. If they were to continue over any real length of time, you should call your cardiologist but short spells of flutters are entirely normal.
