Glenn that is a sad story, in that your friend had to suffer for so long with something that could of been cured. When he was first Dx with WPW, there probably wasn't a cure, but there has been for some time now.
I don't really know what the problem is with some cardiologist. WPW is now one of the easier arrhythmia problems to ablate. I don't know how long this has been so, but I do know Dr. Baurnfeind has been ablating WPW for over 4 years.
At least your friend got cured as mine did. My friends WPW has not been as bad as your friend, but was progressing in that direction.
