Jack I knew a fellow who was treated by cardiologists in Dallas, Texas for over eight years for afib. They had him on a double handful of medicines everyday. The poor guy had 'knock you down' attacks just like I had with afib and after they subsided he would feel fairly well.
He and his wife were on vacation one year near Denver, Colorado when he had an attack and was rushed to the ER. As soon as Dr. there checked him out, they announced to him that he had W-P-W and when they heard the word Parkinson's it scared them even more. Doctors there in Denver told them it had nothing to do with Parkinson's diseasse but was a congenital condition. They asked if there was any treatment and was told by them that there was one of the few EP's at that time in the U.S. right there in Dallas who could cure him. Of course when they returned to Dallas they contacted Dr. Christopher Wyndham and he did the procedure on him and he was immediately cured of W-P-W.

The whole thing is this. He had been suffering for over eight years with afib and never one time did they tell him there was a cure right there in his hometown.

I'm still amazed at the lack of knowledge of most of these cardiologists or withholding of information.
