Jack,

My apoligies to you for not thinking to ask you for your telephone number so I or my wife could call and give an update on my prognosis. The day after the procedure I asked if a computer was available to the internet and was told the hospital didn't allow them to have access because some employees wanted to abuse it.

I entered the hospital a few minutes before 6 am last Tuesday morning and was taken to a holding room at 8:15 am. Wasted time. Dr. Cheng came by right afterward and 9 am was still scheduled for the ablations. However, around 10:50 am a fellow came by and told us critical emergencies were presented and Dr. Cheng would be busy with them until sometime in the afternoon. At 3:50 pm I was taken to a holding area and had to wait another hour before being taken to the cath lab. During that time, three 'curtains' down from me, a fellow lost blood pressure and three Dr's and five nurses started working on him. You talk about nerve wracking....boy oh boy! The poor guy flat-lined and they eventually re-established heart ryhthym and a blood pressure. A nurse walked by and saw me with my fingers stuck in my ears and asked if I was okay. I pointed in the direction of the activity and she told me she would move me to another area and she took me on into the cath lab. It was almost another hour before Dr. Cheng came in and started the procedure a little past 6 pm. I was wheeled out of the cath lab and to a room at 9:15pm.
I surely hated that all members of my family who had been there since around 8 am waited throughout the long day. I know they were worn to a frazzle. I was sedated, however, I could feel the burns and expressed that I could feel them. I don't remember when the procedure started but felt burns several times. They don't feel good. Glad they only lasted for a few seconds at a time.

It had been a very long day and I was awakened many times during the night for vital sign checks, pressure to wounds and tilting my bed so my feet were elevated and my head down to raise my blood pressure.

I am still amazed and appreciative of the support and encouragement I have received from all who post on this board.

Jack, we all owe you man.....my hat is off to you.

Regards,
Glenn Camp
