I believe Dr. McCarthy is one of the best, but I also think the CC has a lot of good surgeons, and Dr. Gillinov is one of them.
If it were me, and I need it done, I would not hesitate going to the CC. I didn't have my maze done there, but they have done a lot of them, and have a wonderful track record.
What part of the country are you in. There are other fine medical facilities around also.
What ever you do, please keep in contact with the board, and let us know. Information like yours help others to reach informed decisions.
