The Cleveland Clinic is still going to be monitoring the progress of their Maze patients. As you have probably seen on this site, there are other surgeons at the CC doing Maze surgeries. A couple of very recent posters had Dr. Gillinov do theirs, and he has done many in the past.
I had my Maze over 3 years ago at the CC, with Dr. McCarthy, and I wouldn't hesitate to return there if the need should arise.
Dr. McCarthy's new facility at Northwestern is going to focus on ALL types of afib cures, and he might be a good choice to consider for consultation if your higher than normal resting HR continues.
