Carolyn (& Pat): It is really almost a miracle that you have come so far, so FAST, from your "Running out of Time" post less than 6 weeks ago. The Cleveland Clinic may be big, but somehow they often get everything working in concert and pull things off like they did with Pat.
I would urge Pat to exercise as much as possible. Brisk walks, a little jogging, anything to get his cardiovascular system going. I would imagine, that if he has no other unusual complications, he should be able to get his HR up to 120bpm with no concern, and perhaps more. Clear his activity with his local doctor or the one he had at the CC, since many local docs have had no experience with post-maze patients and are pretty conservative about what we can do. Exercise with some hard breathing will probably accelerate his recovery.

Keep us updated often on his progress, as we love to hear of such success stories.
