Sorry I have not posted as of yet since we returned home from Pats Maze procedure at CC. My computer was in for an overhaul and just today had it back and operational.....
Pat is back home and has not had any AFib since his release last week....He had several setbacks while he was at CC but as of today is still in Sinus Rythm and doing fine, except for not regaining his strength as quickly as he had hoped he would. That will come we know.....His Thyroid problems were atributed to taking Amioderone 18 months ago, which we were told can stay in your body for several years....this is scary since so many Doctors prescibe this drug. However, not everyone has this side effect.
The Cleveland Clinic is the most amazing place. After more than 6 years of being hospitilized for the various ablations and cardioversions Pat has undergone in five different hospitals, we understand now why CC is #1 in the Nation for Heart Surgery. We are so blessed that we were able to obtain information when we did and get him in.
We contribute this to Jack Drum for having this incredible website, without it we would never have know the options available. He truly has saved Pats life. Jack also placed calls to me and reported status on the site to all the individuals who kept us in their prayers, and for all that we are so thankful. It is truly amazing what one mans efforts can do to affect the lifes of a family that several weeks ago was so devastated. I will keep up the postings with Pats post-op progress.
(Jack send me your address by e-mail, you have a TurDucKen on the way. If you don't know what that is, don't ask questions, just enjoy when you get it)
Carolyn
