I've just read all the posts that I’ve missed while away on a vacation to the Mexican Riviera, and to St.Louis, to see a shoulder surgeon for my hubby!

It was our anniversary, (31yrs) and I got the best deep tissue massage, followed by time in the dry sauna, then a steam room!

We had gone to Coba; a Mayan ruin that visitors are still permitted to climb! It was an overcast day of about 85 humid degrees, and we walked the one mile to get to the pyramid. Saw wonderful tropical birds! The tallest one, of the excavated sites, had 94 steep, narrow steps to the top, overlooking the jungle and other non-excavated pyramids. This one is taller that the famous Chitzen Itza, which is very touristy. I'll admit, I was slower, and huffed and puffed more than the others, but I did NOT have arrhythmia!

We also went on a snorleling adventure, to two very cold cenotes',(fresh water sink holes) where there were fish to see. We then went to a lagoon, and swam a kilometer/ 6/10ths of a mile, through a mix of salt/fresh water to where the gulf breakers were. I swam with my first sea turtles, and stayed away from a little island where there was a crocodile sunning himself! (I asked how safe we were, from the rest of his family??) So that was a round trip 2K, and NO funny beats!

First of all, BEFORE my ablation with Dr. Schweikert at CC, I could not tolerate a sauna or steam room. It would start a rip-roaring atrial fib/tachycardia attack! An out door whirl pool would do me in also, in about 20 minutes.

Not this time! It was the first time I’ve tried the sauna and steam since my ablations last summer. I laid in them both, baking away the soreness, and setting the aromatic lotions into my pores, and my heart.....did "nothing". Beat like clockwork! Made me smile a lot!! Grin, grin...from ear to ear.

Life gets better and better after an Afib procedure! I'm still not taking any heart meds, not even BP meds anymore! I've got to stay healthy to take care of my husband!
