Pete I was on Amiodarone for approx.four years. I stopped taking the drug, January, 2003. I was having extreme numbness in my feet and hands.Three weeks ago I started feeling very cold most of the day, and my body temperature was averaging 96.4 degrees. My GP tested me for Thyroid issues. The test results showed low levels for thyroid hormone. He and my cardiologist believe the Amiodarone is the culprit.
