A number of recent posts that entered into some insulting language have been removed. Until now, we have not had to even have a forum policy regarding posts. It has been a kind and friendly atmosphere.

Insulting someone because they disagree with an opinion is not a welcome attitude.

Opinions are fine and welcome unless they are erroneously stated as medical fact by a layman or someone with a little medical knowledge or training. No participant in this forum should be demeaned for asking a simple question or having a different opinion or understanding than others.

In deleting these posts, some of the replies and possibly valuable information following the offending post were necessarily deleted also.

Anyone and everyone should feel free to repost anything they may have posted previously if it is done in a spirit of communication, understanding and friendship. Remove the insults whether you believe they might have been intended or not.

This has been a result of NOT censoring any posts on this board - ever. I believe the offending post should have been immediately removed before it escalated. Since we have never had to edit or delete any posts, the issue has never been addressed. But, a battle over words, or egos does not serve anyone, is a waste of space and contrary to the purpose of the board.

A post will NEVER be deleted just because of a differing opinion. It might just be answered or corrected, but left for all to learn from.

BUT... when a post of any kind is insulting or demeaning, in the future - it will be removed. Feel free to repost - without the inflamatory language. In the future I will keep a copy of any deleted posts if there is a need to do so. It could then be edited and reposted if need be.

Again, a post will ONLY be deleted immediately if it contains insulting or improper language....and can be reposted right away once removed by the original poster.
