I had the MAZE III at CC in January. I am 38 yrs old, 6'4" and at the time 270 lbs. Everything went fine. The only thing I did wrong was leave the hospital alone, stay my first night out alone and fly home the next day alone. We have 3 small children and I had talked my wife into going back early. I had not thought about things like the bed at the hotel. Did you know those things don't raise up? They seem even closer to the floor when your having problems moving. That was the worst night of the whole experience. I took the shuttle back to the hotel, the hotel had closed out my room for some reason, had to stand at the counter for about 30 min. (seemed like hours) to get my room back. Got to the room and thats when the fun started. I finally figured out how to get in the bed then couldn't get back out. To make a long story short I was miserable. Recovery was good ,not as good as some of these guys, I was not in very good shape because I hadn't been able to exercise for years, drugs did not keep me in rythm at all. It took 4 months for NSR, have felt great ever since. I am doing things I haven't been able to do for 7 years. I am currently on no medication and cut loose for a year by cardiologist. Good Luck.
