There's one other risky scenerio, Glenn, and that' LIVING with Afib/flutter! I read the list of "risk factors" that increases your chance of having a serious stroke, (don't know where to find it right now, but probably a search under "stroke risk" would find it)while having Afib/flutter, about four months before I found this board. It scared me! It was a big reason I got in gear to get the best care I could find!
You combine Afib, and the more dangerous Aflutter, with high blood pressure, high cholestrol, heart disease, diabetes, family history of stroke,etc. and you've got a big problem.
MAN!!! I don't hear the veterans on here being half as afraid of a Maze or PVI/PVA as they were of living with the darned Afib! Continue your good work, and know that we're rooting for you Glenn.
