WHOA! I did NOT request a copy, but OFFERED to read it prior to posting, at Pete's option, should he desire to have it pre-read. I indicated that I would NOT edit it, but merely read it and pass on my thoughts to him. He can post it without anyone reading it should he wish, but all should understand the unusual circumstances of his experience and be aware that they are far from the typical experience of those who have received PVAs from VERY experienced EPs/centers.
As I explained to Pete, we want to read all experiences, good AND bad, but complete details need to be provided. Many will recall seeing posts and receiving emails from a now-deceased poster, who was VERY negative about the Maze, but would never disclose that she was the recipient, several years previously, of apparently one of 2 so-called "beating heart" maze procedures. It was not successful, and she apparently needed a touch-up ablation. She delayed doing this for a few years and subsequently had a stroke a few months before her then planned PVA at the CC. Her tragic death was in all likelihood avoidable, had she not delayed getting follow-up help. In the intervening years, she tried to scare a number of us with emails about her horror story, without disclosing that she had a very experimental procedure. Fortunately, some of us had read her full story on another site and alerted other readers about the "missing" info.
