Update on tests

Well I finally got somewhat good news today from my EP. As I had posted yesterday that I would travel thirty miles to the EP's office for the prognosis of treadmill and echocardiogram tests performed on Tuesday. I got about halfway there and had to abort the trip because afib hit with a fury and I got sick and called Dr's office and told his nurse I couldn't make it and for him to call me.

The EP did call and said the cesium stress test and the echocardiogram looked great for a sixty eight year old man. No signs of blockages either from the cesium camera and the echo either. He said I had a strong heartbeat, which I knew from the shaking bed, and my heart pumped an enormous amount of blood for my age except when it is out of rhythym. I told him most of the time it was pumping an enormous amount of blood if that was the case.

He wants me to check into the hospital for forty eight hours observation while they administer Tambacor/flecainide to see if it will control my afib and pvc's. I asked him about Tambacor/flecainide having an adverse affect on the ventricles and he said tambacor/flecainide would control both the atrial and ventricles with out harm. I don't believe any medicine doesn't harm to an extent.

I hope and pray that it works well and long enough to control this mess so I can travel for consultations with Dr's and facilities to decide where to have PVA(I)'s and/or maze, I'll be satisfied.

Just wanted to bring you all up to date.

Regards,
Glenn Camp
