Yes, I experienced post surgical inflammatory pericarditis - the first time about 3 months after surgery. I thought it was a pulled muscle and tried to ignore it. Eventually I saw my Dr. and was diagnosed. I had two more bouts before I was over it. I haven't had any problems now for about 1 1/2 years. It's been 3 years since my maze. The steroid treatment helped me, but it's very painful. Lots of luck. Sounds like you're doing OK.
