It is great to have a second chance at life with my wonderful family. Chronic AF limited my energy spent with family and friends. When I recently told a good old buddy that I was skiing rings around that I had open heart surgery 2 1/2 years ago, he looked at me like I was from Mars.
Aside from off-piste ski jumping, my class V whitewater kayaking keeps me a hero in my teenage kids eyes.
