Glen,

I had a test which I believe is the one you are referring to.

It starts with a stress test. They ask you to walk briskly on an inclined plane while you have wires strapped to your chest. They watch the EKG very closely & there is a doc present.

When you have reached your maximum exertion, they inject you with a Cesium drug which is radioactive. You then go and lie down in a Cesium Camera which is a big, open machine that has a sensor which slowly rotates around your body. It makes a map of the blood flow in the various parts of the heart so the doc can see if any parts of your heart are not getting a full share of the blood flow. You have to lie perfectly still while the machine slowly clicks its way across the circular arc that it is on. It takes about 30 minutes.

The test is painless and is just one more of the fun things you can do in a hospital. Just lay back and enjoy it.

Henry
