John, so your surgeon did a cut 'n sew job on your heart in a particular area during your maze surgery as opposed to ablations being done now in that area. Evidently the change is contributing to post maze touch-up ablations in that area. Sounds odd that if it's hard for Dr's to do a good ablation in a hard to reach area during maze that it would also be just as difficult or more difficult to reach with a catheter post maze. Heck I don't know.
And besides, you've described me to a "T" talking about being pessimistic and and being in the lower percentile, etc..
It's just the fact that when I first started reading postings on this board, man I was raring to go get something done, until I started reading the negatives. Now I'm sure there are a lot more positives than negatives because people are still having the procedures. Actually I/we don't have a choice if we want any kind of life better than afib has to offer. I just wish it were already behind me. I'm still waiting on Cardio Vascular Consultants to schedule me for an echocardiogram so I can send the results to Cleveland.
Thanks,
Glenn
