An AMAZING Maze Update!

I just finished talking with Ed Wehan, a fellow January "mazer" at the Cleveland Clinic, who had just completed the 50 Mile Rose City run today in Portland, Oregon. I had hoped to be there for a MUCH more modest event and to watch him, but couldn't get a flight on Friday. The bad news...Ed didn't win the race. He was the oldest runner by about 7 years, since he is 57, so he was only able to finish 3rd...OVERALL!!! only 18 minutes out of first place after over 8 hours of running! I spoke with him about 1/2 hour or so after he finished and he sounded great, already riding back in a car, probably thinking about what he was going to do for dinner tonight.
Does the maze work? Is it worth it? For Ed and I (and numerous others) the answer is a resounding yes!
