Glenn,
I, like Gerald Davis who posted below, have been curred of A-Fib after MAZE surgery by Dr. Duncan at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. Dr. Duncan will want you to be seen by Dr. Massumi before he performs MAZE surgery on you. Dr. Ali Massumi is Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Clinical and Interventional Electrophysiology and Cardiology. Dr. Massumi's phone number is 713-529-5530; E-mail: hallgar@hgcardio.com.
All of us had take a proactive approach when it came to having MAZE surgery. There are several reasons for this. The good news is that there is a cure available if you want it. I live in the D/FW area and we drove to and from Houston before and after surgery without any problems.
