Glenn, I lived about 27 years with Afib, and went through the
whole pharmacopoeia of medications as have you. I
repeatedly asked my cardiologist about doing the Maze, but he
always said don’t do it. This board gave me the courage to ignore
this doctor, and 2 years ago, at the age of 73, I had the Maze
surgery. After all these years, I finally have my life back. I exercise
strenuously now, which was a trigger for my adrenergic Afib. NSR
is “to die for”. Pardon the pun, but if I were to die tomorrow, it
would be worth it to have had the past 2 years of NSR bliss. If I
were you, I would crawl on my hands and knees to Cleveland
Clinic, and let them cure you. Godspeed, Don
