It continues to amaze me how clueless some members of the medical community continue to be in the face of the many medical advances being done in many parts of this country. Sorry to hear such a story, Glen but hopefully you are on the right path now. There are several mazers and others from Texas who will probably guide you to an appropriate center not too far for you to go. However, I do know that the Cleveland Clinic is the top heart hospital in this country and I would try anything to get there. I live in California and chose to go to the CC to get my maze cure. Even if I were to do a PVA, I would track down Natale at CC to have it done as one thing I have learned and that is go to where they do the most of anything because that is where the best equipment and expertise is. Much of this stuff is as much art as science and the artist with the most practice is usually the most successful. I will also tell you that Dr. McCarthy at CC is the expert in heart transplants and really bad heart problems besides everything he does for us with the maze. You can't go wrong with a guy like that. Anyway, I wish you the best and I know that others here will give you good advice as well.
