I have a Medtronics defibulator/pacemaker. With that and the medicine I was in NSR for two years. The defibulator would try to pace me out of fast rhythms. When I was in AFib it would shock me while I was sleeping. It is a big kick in the chest but for a while it only happened every couple of months. When it was happening every other night and the shocks not working at all I decided I needed another alternative. I really had a good couple of years, though.
