Patrick,

I am very glad that you can report that you do not have significant pulmonary vein stenosis. Score one in the good news column.

I am just now really getting over a cough that has lasted seven weeks since an upper-respiratory infection, so I can empathize with your coughing. It seems to me that you have already ruled out a problem with your lungs or pulmonary veins. I have learned from my brother in law, an internist, that one can develop such an irritation from coughing that mimics the symptoms of asthma. If one treats it as one treats asthma -- with an inhaler -- the condition can go away. This is just one more idea to discuss with your local GP who might be able to help you with that cough. I am using Flonase, a nasal inhaler, but a bronchial inhaler might be the next step for an asthma-like condition.

Thinking about you...

Bill K.
