I'm just back from Papworth where I met Stephen Large and discussed the possibility of the Maze. He is, indeed, refreshingly encouraging and straighforward in his approach: a joy after some other surgeons I have encountered. His biggest problem is that he is still the ONLY surgeon in the UK undertaking the Maze. A case for some pressure on our political lords and masters, I think.
