Pat, I just want to add my opinion to Carl's and Herery's.
If there were any chance you may need the valve repair now or in the not to distant future, I would opt for the maze and valve repair now.
I am a Maze cured person, so I would think it would be much better to get it done in Jan. and put it all behind you.
There is a little longer time getting completely over the maze, compared to a ablation that went well, but your chances for a good cure would seem to be better.
