Dave,
I've been reading some of your old posts in the archivels. You had your Maze in North Carolina in summer of 2001, right? Your current information about that failed mitral valve repair, Afib, etc. must have been pretty disturbing.

Have the recent results, and difficult experience with the ablation attempt at CC, given you any ideas, that you could share?

I will never forget how I felt, in 1998, when I underwent my first ablation attempt In Kansas City, Mo. They had given me such glowing descriptions of what an ablation could do! And I woke up with the same Atrial tachycardia--Afib that I had!! I felt like I had been cheated, and wondered if I was just used for "practice". NOW, I realize it was too soon, but no harm was done, and I was able to wait five years.

Thank God for success this year, because I had gone into every subsequent EP study, and ablation with dread and skepticism, dreading another failure!

But, when we don't want to live with Afib, and don't want to be on meds, blood thinner,or pacemaker for the rest of "life", we don't have any choice, but to try again.

I know it's not easy for you or Jan. This business isn't for sissy's, is it? My thoughts are with you. You will figure it all out, because we are all behind you!!
Peace, Sarah
