Hi folks. It's been awhile since I've posted but I thought I'd give you all an update on my ablation journey. But the bottom line is that I've been in NSR w/o drugs except for coumadin for 62 days now. Thank you Lord! I live in Seattle and went to LA, Centenella Hospital with Dr. Nedmanee for the procedure(s). Yes I've had three trans septal ablations since May 7th. The May 7th ablation didn't hold me in nsr after I went off Amio. So, I went in again 9-8, early in the am, for the second abalation. That afternoon Dr. Nedmanee suggested that he may want to go in again the next day after looking at the ekg. So on 9-9 he did the third ablation. I stayed with the inlaws in LA for a week, had some bouts of atrial flutter, then converted to nsr on 9-15 and have been there ever since. The right leg took quite a beating in the groin area, and I've had to get used to PAC's from time to time, but I'm feeling great. I either walk an hour with my wife every day or go to the gym and jump on the treadmill. Dr. Nedmanee says it's ok to quit the coumadin now. My local EP at the U of Washington says he would recommend staying on it for 6mos to a year. Interesting perspective differences. To be expected, though, given the conservative approach of the UofW EP doc. Anyway, I'm starting to get used to a life in NSR and not having to worry about whether or not I'll wake up in afib. God bless you all. Lowell
