Dave,

I question the logic of your being in NSR when you go for your "touch-up" ablation, in fact, I disagree strenuously.

When I went into the room at CC where Dr Schweikert was waiting to do the ablation, I made absolutely sure that I had been off all drugs (except for LoveNox) for a week or more and that no drug was hiding, concealing or modifying the electrical pathways of the Atrial Flutter.

He cannot 'fix' harmful electrical pathways if he cannot see them. If drugs are hiding certain circular paths in the Atria he cannot correct them.

When I went into the room my heart was in solid Atrial Flutter at 150 bpm. An hour or so later Dr S. called out "We got it!" and I was cured. He continued to try to cause more Flutter by electrically stimulating the heart in various places, but was unable to do so. It was a solid cure.

Good luck in December!

Henry
