It's great that you made the big decision to get the maze to be rid of your afibs. I had bouts of afib during the first three months after surgery but have had none since (I'm 17 months out from surgery). I've had occasional PACs and even rare, brief episodes of other irregular beats- but not afib. I feel great and am very happy with how my heart performs and supports my self-propelled addictions (hiking, backcountry skiing, kayaking, etc.). Just keep the faith and continue walking, and I'm confident that when the healing's done, you're going to be a cured man. Good luck to you.
