I've hit another milestone, 7 months since my maze at the CC. Just visited my cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio and got some good news. I am still in NSR. I was experiencing some irregular beats, so I wore a holter monitor for 24 hours. There were no afib episodes recorded, just some missed beats and I feel everyone of them, but it's not the same as afib.
I haven't talked to the doctor since the results were given to me over the phone by the nurse practitioner. I don't know if he will refer me back to the CC for evaluation. Probably not, if I don't feel bad. I don't really know what the "skipped beats" are and if I should be concerned. They seem to be worse when I am tired or under stress. I really do feel better though.I didn't visit this website prior to my surgery, only afterwards. My re-couperation was a very difficult time for me. I thank you all for providing a healthy source of encouragement.
