Tom,
(For what it's worth) This in only anecdotal information and most docs would probably poo-poo it!

Before my two ablations, I had long term chronic problems with low HR. In the beginning, it was aggravated by a cardiologist giving me beta blockers, but we then stopped all that which helped for awhile. I got worse, and for the last 4-5yrs before ablations, low HR became really aggravating and chronic...on it's own.

What i'm thinking is, you might need to ask an EP, whether you may have an ablatable arrhythmia that affects the slow beat?

I'm sitting here with a resting HR of 77, where before, I always had low 40's until about noon,...if then. 28 or 30's sleeping. I know that the docs would say that slow HR is not treatable with anything but a pacemaker. I was told that for YEARS, and fought it like a tiger! So for what ever reason...my chronic slow rate is gone, and I feel so much better, getting rid of it with the AF, after two ablations.

Anecdotal...yes, but I don't feel like i'm any where near having to have a pacemaker now.

Sarah
