If you're going into A-fib about every two days, I'd say you're on your way to chronic. That being said, if you read through the messages on this board you will see that many of us had been in a-fib for 5 and l0 years and even longer before having a maze or PVI or both. The success rate does not seem to be correlated with how long one has been in a-fib. However, a-fib, as you know, robs your life of quality because you're either in it or wondering when your heart is going to start racing, so if you have decided that a PVI is what you want why not try to get it done sooner, even going someplace else (just so long as their stats for success are favorable)?
