Im 42 years old and have had AF for about 1 1/2 yrs. now. I take Propafanone on demand which usually converts me in 2-3 hours. My AF is about every 2 days now. My question is I'm tiried of medication and know this condition will get worse. Im worried I will be chronic soon. Im looking at a PVI in London,Ontario, Canada but thats a year away, its a long waiting list. Should I go chronic and the PVI fails, does the Maze still work well if your chronic or does your success rate become lower. Im affraid by the time I have the PVI or Maze I will have become chronic. Or does it take time to go chronic. I would like some info as you are all a wealth of info on this board.
Thanks
Frank
