I went to Rochester Mayo last year in february for a consult with an EP. The clinic scheduled all tests the same day before my appointment. Lab work, EKG Echo etc, I met with Dr Ray and he went over my records that had been sent to him as well as the results from the tests I had earlier in the day. Since I was only interested in a cure via the MAZE an appointment was set up with a surgeon and a date set. It was explaned to me that a cath would be done prior to the surgery so if they found any blockages they would be taken care of at the same time as the MAZE. When I retured to Rochester the day before the surgery I had additional tests blood work, ekg was given an antibiotic for my nose to help prevent infections. The morning of my surgery I had the cath done and remember being told that everything was clear. The next thing I remember is wakeing in the ICU in NSR. The care at Rochester Mayo was great. I hope this helps a bit with the question about not having cath records sent. I am glad that I only had to have the one cath and that I dont remember it. My prayers are with you.
