Guys -

I had my ablation at the beginning of Feb. For the first 4 weeks, I had no arrhythmias at all. After my first two active days this past week (we finally saw sunshine here) I had a 10 minute bout of what Michelle said later were pac's. I have been in touch w/ Father Bates. He began to have some pac's when he started exercising and is now having both pac's and a-fib. It seems related to the increased activity. Seeing what happened to him, I've put off returning to aerobic exercise. Does this mean we're returning to a life of a-fib? I expected some irregularities at first, but why nothing for 3-4 weeks and then it starts? This is especially discouraging because, like many of you, our biggest benefit from the ablation was to be able to return to an active life style. Being able to stay out of a-fib only by not exercising is not satisfactory. I'm still on the flecainide. What will happen when I go off at the end of this month if I'm having problems now, while on it? Oh, and in a particularly cruel irony, I find that I can now, for the first time in 6 years, eat anything I want w/o fibbing. I just can't exercise it off.

Any insights would be most welcome. Thanks.

Pam
