Thanks for all the prayers - it worked! They did the Maze//Mitral Valve Repair (including the installation of an annular ring) and I immediately went into NSR and am still there!.
Hats off to the Cleveland Clinic, everything ran so flawlessly! The Surgeon who did the Valve Job, Dr. Sabik got a nice tight seal on the Mitral Valve; he was assisted by Dr. Gillinow who did the Maze Procedure, and if my results are any indication, he should be put on your "recommended" list.
I was discharged on Saturday, got home Sunday, and am feeling stronger every day. Only medication:Toprol XL 50mg.
