I was mazed and had a MV repair in January of 2002 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and was immediately restored to NSR. My cardiologist kept me on Coumadin for 6 months. I then starting taking 81mg aspirin. Based on the recent study by Dr. Alberts director of the Stroke Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, I was recently switched to 325mg.
