Frank: Your success story should be listed as such.
Considering what you had done, getting released on the
5th day, and in NSR is great news!
Surely your experience should provide hope and encouragement
for those out there who have other heart repairs to be done
along with the Maze.

As Ed says, don't be alarmed if you have some PACs, etc.,
during the next few weeks. It does take some people a
little longer to heal than others, but you are sure off
to a good start.

Keep the board up-to-date on your experience and progress.

: : Frank is having his Maze today, and I would ask evryone to keep Frank in their thoughts or prayers today for his surgery, and for his recovery.
: : WISHING EVERYONE A NSR FOR THE WEEK.

: Thanks for all the prayers - it worked! They did the Maze//Mitral Valve Repair (including the installation of an annular ring) and I immediately went into NSR and am still there!.

: Hats off to the Cleveland Clinic, everything ran so flawlessly! The Surgeon who did the Valve Job, Dr. Sabik got a nice tight seal on the Mitral Valve; he was assisted by Dr. Gillinow who did the Maze Procedure, and if my results are any indication, he should be put on your "recommended" list.

: I was discharged on Saturday, got home Sunday, and am feeling stronger every day. Only medication:Toprol XL 50mg.

: Again, Thanks to everyone for praters and advice - this list is a tremendous resource for anyone cintemplating the Maze Procedure!
