Hi Katie,(I posted a message 3/2/03 "Chronic a-fib"},I applied for ss disability a month ago and all the paperwork has been submitted.Untill the a-fib, I worked construction-currently I'm receiving state disability as the nature of my job is ladders,heights,heavy exertion and between shortness of breath and dizziness it is both unwise and unsafe to continue.On a new job application/physical a new employer will have doubts/concerns hiring someone taking heart medication and so on.Anyway, thanks for your question as I learned about "near syncopy" and I expect to appeal a decline of benefits.Good luck with the maze and thanks to all for this board.Larry
