Joss,
If you have had four Ablations and are contemplating a fifth, I am not surprised that the French are offering a "2 for 1 Sale".

You are right in saying that the success rate for Ablations for chronic Afib are not high. Nevermind, American Technical Expertise, especially in the area of the sophisticated, computer-driven, three-dimensional, displays that provide guidance to the EP during the procedure, will one day permit Afib Ablations to be a predictable, one-shot event.

Having spent my summer vacations as a student, swabbing the floor of the morgue along with the other floors of Leeds General Infirmary in Yorkshire, I am well aware of the incompetence of the typical British "consultant", masked by a smug, supercilious, arrogance. So I am not at all surprised at the failure of your Harley Street doctor to provide a useful result for you.

If all else fails, you can follow the trail of the spoiled, wealthy, oil-rich, Arabs, accustomed to only the very best, to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, The Best Cardiac Hospital in the World.
