Sarah, I have mentioned it before, and probably some of the others. When in AF the blood pools, and a clot can form. This takes several hours, and I have heard it listed from 24 to 72 hours.
Murry has covered this very good in his previous post.
I don't think it would make much difference in how they convert you. It is when the atria is back in NSR and pumping good, that it could pump the clot out into your system.
