I got a mail from Dr. Saltman today and he confirmed what the gentleman had told me. Here is a part of the mail I got from Dr. Saltman. I am going to try to get him to post a longer description of the procedure. This is something a lot of people may be interested in.
"Yes, I am doing completely endoscopic mazes now, without opening the chest.
I have a whole bunch lined up, and we should be really taking off soon. It's very exciting, really.
So far I have done a total of 66 patients with microwave technology (all but 3 with the chest open, however!) and I have an 80% success rate at 6 months followup,
And yes, the completely endoscopic mazes are done entirely with microwave."
