A very close male friend of mine has had AFib for 20 years of his life. He's 36. Maintained his AFib with meds all this time. His last "episode" put him in ICU for 2 days, last month. His doctor told him that he NEEDS the Maze surgery. I AGREE!!

He's not looking into the Maze surgery because he doesn't have any insurance. I advised him to get some. He says he can't says his AFIB/Heart condition is considered Pre-Existing. I say that's bull! I am a firm believer in "where there's a will, there's a way" and "persistance pays off."

Will someone here please advise me on what to do, where to start first in fighting, researching, investigating how to get some insurance coverage so my dear friend can have the surgery to save his life and improve his health? I am determined to find him some assistance for this expensive but well worth it, surgery. He may not believe there's help for him but I'll believe it for the both of us. Surely someone here has had to do some "fighting" for insurance coverage?????

IF A-N-Y-O-N-E here will be so kind as to help me, and directly, PLEASE, PLEASE email me personally at...
XCEPTME@AOL.COM. I am ready to start "knocking down some doors," TODAY!!!!

I'm so thankful to have found this board "accidentally" while performing the Maze Surgery search on the Net. I see have have tons of messages here to read and I'm sure I'll be back to post many more questions and concerns.

I want to thank each and everyone of you in advance for helping me and my friend.

Healthy Wishes to us ALL,
Michelle
