You are right, it is in the pericardial sac. They did an ultrasound today and have stated that the level of fluid is borderline as to whether they insert a chest drain or allow Laura home with just medication, and review at a later date if the fluid is going down. Laura will know in the morning the final decision, 14 days after she enetered hospital for the MAZE procedure.
However, she was in very good spirits today and is managing a lot more activity now than late last week.
