The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio has performed the most mazes so far, and there are a lot of out of towners that go there. You have a choice of staying at a luxury hotel or a more modest hotel just across the street from the hospital. There is also an option to stay with a family very cheaply that volunteered their homes to families of patients. I had a successful maze done there 3 weeks ago and am feeling great except for some breastbone soreness. It's only really uncomfortable for maybe 3 days, and not bad after that. Small price to pay for heart health. They tout their success rate as 90%, even with many very sick patients. For healthy people it is higher, they will issue new results soon, I'm told. The surgeon is Dr McCarthy.
