Jim: I took my laptop to the CC over 2 years ago, and just plugged it into the phone outlet or the side of the phone. (I don't recall where, exactly, but it worked fine). I just made sure I had the local access phone # for my Internet Service Provider, and surfed as much as necessary, from there and the hotel.
