Hi Sarah I have just read your letter and was shocked and appalled that anyone working in the Medical profession could put their personal prejudices and professional jealousy before the care of a patient.

I live in the UK and have a little trouble with the abbreviated terms you use in your letter I have recently had the Maze operation performed at a different hospital to the one that diagnosed my condition both specialists worked in tandem to prepare me for and to perform the operation on me I have now been discharged from the care of the surgeon and passed back to hospital I started at total continuity of care, reading of your experience I feel fortunate indeed.
