Nancy, as you know, we speak here as non-medical participants in this forum but unless there is a lot more to your problem than you say, then do not have a pacemaker. It does not cure AFib. I had a cardiologist once tell me the same thing and after some discussion I realized that I knew a lot more about AFib than he did. Run to the EP and find out what his recommendation is and then keep exploring and learning. There are several on this board who I believe are familiar with the Texas Heart Institue so I hope they post and give you further direction. Best of luck and no pacemaker.
